Now that I have introduced myself, I wanted to give you a little more information on the purpose and goals of this blog.
Why did I decide to start a blog? It has been a year now that I have been a stay at home mom and it is still an adjustment from working outside of the house everyday. The field of early childhood is one that I am passionate about and while I absolutely love the opportunity to be at home with my son, I also miss working with other children, families and educators. This blog is a way for me to continue to reach out to families/educators and hopefully make a difference by sharing my knowledge and ideas and by getting others discussing the various topics associated with early childhood development and education.
What are my goals? I want to post about relevant early childhood topics that will be helpful to parents of young children and educators of children. I want to share learning activities, child development information and tips for those tough transitions that children face. I also want anyone who regularly comes in contact with young children to feel welcome to comment, ask questions and make suggestions. Helping young children learn and develop is a big job and we need to support and encourage each other.
I appreciate that you are here reading my posts and I hope that you check back regularly. Thank you for your support as I build this blog and begin the journey of sharing my voice!
