I used to have free time to shop, read, and take trips. Now my only free time is when I shut myself in the bathroom to pee.
I used to snuggle up to my husband for relaxing movie nights. Now I have one kid’s feet in my ribs, another’s in my face and we are watching Ice Age for the 1000th time this week.
I used to try new recipes when cooking. Now we live off chicken fingers, jell-O and happy meals.
I used to sleep uninterrupted every night. Now my sleep consists of wrestling a ninja baby, hunting for lost pacifiers, and sleeping on six inches of my king size bed while the husband and baby get the rest.
I used to get dressed up, put on make up, and fix my hair each day. Now I’m doing good to leave the house in clothes that don’t have drool, spit up, food, or mystery substances on them.
I used to think I couldn’t survive with less then 8 hours of sleep. Now I know the magic of coffee.
I used to think I had life all figured out. Now I have two boys who teach me new life lessons every day (some I wish I never had to learn).
I used to think I could never love my husband more. Now I see the love he has for our boys and I love him more and more each day.
I used to think nothing would ever be better then becoming a mom. Now I know while being a mom is hard at times, there is still nothing better!
