As a mom of two little boys, life is busy! These are the things I'm doing throughout the day (and if you are a parent of a little one, I'm sure you can relate);
-constantly feeding them...I mean seriously, how can someone so little eat so much?
-changing a billion diapers, you know because they're always eating or drinking,
-being a jungle gym, sometimes I don't even remember laying on the floor but yet there I am with an infant sitting on my head trying to climb inside my ear and a toddler pulling out his best body slams on my belly that has never been it's normal self since two babies grew inside of it.
-picking up toys, and clothes, and snacks, and shoes, and random objects that I couldn't find a month ago but someone how my newly crawling infant found them,
-playing games that I obviously don't know the rules to because my toddler keeps getting mad at how I'm playing,
-putting the baby to bed for the 25th time, giving up on that nap just to have him fall asleep eating..(see picture below)
-and being their emotional safe place when they're sad, hurt, angry, etc. even though I'm about five seconds from loosing it myself.

Mom life is just busy and you never truly understand it until you are in the midst of it. Some days I am to the point where I don't know how I'm going to handle another day of it all. Have you been there? Some days it gets to the point where the boys are both crying and I just cry along with them. I tell them that I'm done with the day too and we check every 15 minutes to see when daddy will be home. Once I hit that low though, something always happens to help me regain my perspective. Sometimes it's something simple like the boys giggling with each other as they roll a ball or sometimes it's my toddler FINALLY doing something that I've been working with him on for weeks. No matter what it is, I start to think of the other things that keep me busy throughout the day:
-that big smile when I open my son's door and say "good morning bubba",
-the laughs we share as we're being silly dancing, clapping, or rolling around on the floor
-all the first I get to witness (my youngest just started crawling, standing up to things and is starting to copy some words),
-the little hands that hold mine while we watch a movie or read a book,
-the unlimited hugs and kisses throughout the day,
-and just the pure joy of watching them grow before my eyes.
I can't promise that days will be easy as a mom. Honestly, I can promise you that they WON'T! There will be days when you're not sure how you can handle another crazy day like you just had. Know this, you can handle it. Those babies need you. They love you and you are their entire world. Yes it will be hard sometimes but, it will be so very good too. Embrace all the busy moments..the happy ones and the difficult ones! Parenthood is a journey and we are all learning as we go. Enjoy the anaconda squeezy hugs and accept the slobbery kisses with a smile! They make the hard parts all worth it!
