Family Traditions are like the glue that hold a family together. Traditions can be big events that happen annually or little celebrations after your child accomplishes something. When reading through Parents magazine, I came across an article by Michelle Crouch called "Fun Family Traditions to Start Right Now". The article was all about different ways to incorporate family traditions into everyday life, because the little moments are the ones that stick with children the most. Below are the types of traditions/rituals that were suggested. What special moments do you share with your family?
-Secret signs for “I love you”
-Bedtime routines (tell stories with characters that resemble your child)
-Birthday memories (interview your child each year and save the answers to share with them when they are older)
-Dinner traditions (have each family member share the highs and lows of their day)
-Goofy moments (build a Friday night blanket fort)
-Family fun time (have a special cookie making night anytime there is a full-moon and then go look at the moon and starts together)
